Fast Company World Changing Ideas 2026 — Flywheel Motion, built by We The Flywheel

Flywheel Motion, the compounding growth platform built by We The Flywheel, has been named an honoree in Fast Company's 2026 World Changing Ideas Awards, in the General Excellence category. The recognition follows three years of global field research across more than fifty countries and arrives the same month its co-founder, Group CEO Thomas Prommer, was named to the HotTopics Global CIO for 2026.

"The recognition from Fast Company is meaningful, but what drives the work is every person we met across more than fifty countries doing consequential work that was nearly impossible to find online. Flywheel Motion exists to close that gap."
— Thomas Prommer, Group CEO, We The Flywheel

What did Flywheel Motion win?

The Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards, now in their ninth year, recognize projects delivering measurable change across industries. The 2026 panel of editors and reporters evaluated more than 1,500 entries across 14 categories. Flywheel Motion was named an honoree in General Excellence; the full list is featured on fastcompany.com, with select honorees appearing in the Summer 2026 print issue.

What is Flywheel Motion?

Flywheel Motion is a compounding growth and visibility platform, co-founded by Andi Cross and We The Flywheel Group CEO Thomas Prommer. It combines web infrastructure, intelligent publishing, search and LLM optimization, analytics, authority architecture, and strategic storytelling into one connected system — purpose-built for experts and organizations doing critical work without the visibility infrastructure to match. The platform works as a network: as each member's authority and discoverability grows, the collective's reach strengthens.

Where did the platform come from?

It grew directly from Edges of Earth, the multi-year research expedition launched by Andi Cross and Adam Moore in 2023. Over three years spanning more than fifty countries, the team embedded with scientists, Indigenous leaders, conservationists, and grassroots organizations on the frontlines of ecological change. The same pattern surfaced in every geography: the people doing the most consequential work were nearly impossible to find online. That structural disconnect became the founding brief for Flywheel Motion.

Why does this sit with We The Flywheel?

We The Flywheel is a practitioner-run house: an AI consultancy, a media network, and a product studio. Flywheel Motion is the studio's flagship build, and the same month it earned a Fast Company World Changing Idea, our Group CEO was named to the HotTopics Global CIO for 2026. The through-line is consistent: turn hard-won field experience into systems other people can use. See the rest of our coverage on the newsroom.
