About Us
We The Flywheel (WTF) is a private digital product studio active across sports media, technology, fitness, and personal branding. We operate 500+ web properties across 42 markets and are deeply embedded in AI-native workflows. Our HQ is remote-first with team members in Vietnam, Europe, the Balkans, and Latin America.
What We're Really Hiring For
AI does the heavy lifting here — but AI is the leverage, not the point. We hire for the human layer on top of it: ingenuity, judgment, taste, and strategic thinking — the perspective a model can't have. The people who thrive here use AI to move fast, then apply the real human intelligence that makes the output genuinely good. If your instinct is to prompt-and-ship without thinking critically, this isn't the fit.
The Role
"Sr Agentic Engineering" means you've done this before. You've directed Claude Code, Cursor, and Aider to ship real things and you know what good output looks like — and what to do when it isn't. We're hiring for track record and judgment, not credentials: you should be able to point at multiple things you've built and maintained with AI agents across different projects or products.
You'll own larger, murkier scopes than junior engineers — architecting multi-step agent workflows, building tailored solutions rather than prompt-and-hope, debugging when pipelines go sideways, and reviewing or pairing with more junior engineers. You bring the engineering judgment; AI is the leverage. Fully remote, async-first; we sync once a week.
What You'll Do
- ▶ Architect and own end-to-end agentic workflows across our product portfolio
- ▶ Decompose murky, open-ended problems into tailored, well-structured solutions — design first, not prompt-and-hope
- ▶ Debug complex multi-step agent failures — diagnose root cause, recover, and prevent recurrence
- ▶ Build reusable tools, MCP integrations, and patterns the team shares — and commit the working code behind them
- ▶ Review and raise the bar on the work of more junior engineers — how they build, not just what they prompt
- ▶ Evaluate new AI tools and recommend integrations with real technical judgment about what fits our stack (databases, frameworks, integrations, APIs)
Who You Are
- ✓ 1–2+ years shipping real software with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex) — a track record, not just familiarity
- ✓ Solid technical foundation — you understand how the pieces fit (databases, frameworks, integrations, APIs) and can read and edit the code the AI writes
- ✓ Can point to multiple things you've built and maintained: shipped features, automations, internal tooling
- ✓ Engineering ingenuity and strategic thinking — you design tailored solutions and orchestrate agents critically, rather than leaning on prompts alone
- ✓ Comfortable operating without supervision for week+ scopes — you scope your own work
- ✓ Strong, and progressively stronger, written and spoken English — meeting-ready online now, in-person with team and clients as you grow
- ✓ Set up to work from any modern laptop; we run through Discord and a cloud AI engine
What You'll Bring (Preferred, Not Required)
- ○ Experience shipping across multiple products or clients (not just one codebase)
- ○ Comfort reading and editing code the AI wrote, even if you didn't write it yourself
- ○ Any public artifacts: GitHub repos, Replit projects, Cloudflare Workers, shipped micro-features
- ○ Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations or building reusable agent tools
- ○ Background mentoring or reviewing others' AI-assisted work
